IMMIGRATION
Legal or Illegal
It’s not going away. We rant about it, blog about it, call in to talk shows about it, write letters to editors and politicians about it, whine to neighbors and friends about it… or just try to ignore it. The truth is that the issue of immigrants, legal and illegal, in the United States is here to stay.
This book is not a political commentary. It is a novel; the story of a teacher and her husband, a family of undocumented Mexicans, the residents of the small town of Perkins Grove, Georgia--and of choices.
Lynn and her husband Sam have always opposed illegal immigration, but now they have come face to face with real flesh-and-blood human beings in desperate circumstances. What should they do?
No matter where you stand on the issue, this book by Joyce Larrabee is a must read!
Joyce Larrabee graduated from high school in Dublin, Georgia, right in the middle of the state. She holds a Bachelor's degree in English education, a Master's in sacred music, a Georgia state teacher credential, and an international TESOL certification. In addition to being a wife, mother, and public speaker, Joyce has traveled extensively and has taught and tutored for many years both in the USA and Brazil. She has written three books and now teaches ESOL online. Joyce and her minister husband John, along with their lovable rescue dog Tommy, live in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains.
